The house has a skirt...

And it just looks so fancy... LOL!!! The skirting got done and I think it looks quite good.  I took pics towards the darkness, but will take some more tomorrow.  I will leave you with some pictures because my back request that I rest it.  ;o) Oh and the kids today asked me to start calling the modular home... Because its our home now.  Sweet huh.
My Dad working on the skirting

The skirting a little more done

All done, the left hand side looking towards the back.

Looking the front from the left side.

When you walk in the left handside glass door you walk into our mud room then walk through Laundry room

Excuse the dust and mess but this is looking from the master bedroom towards the kids "wing" of the house

Between me and the laundry room/playroom (and future bathroom) will be a kitchen and I am standing in the living room.

Inspection Update

Well yesterday we had our Temp Power Inspection and we PASSED!!!! Yah!!! I also called the electric company which said it would 3-4 days from today before we would see power.  So today Rob and I after going to his Orthopaedic appt went and picked up some stuff for the a/c to finish it up.  He found out when he started cutting into the line that he had a live wire (zap).  They jumped our 6 foot fence (locked) and installed the meter and turned the power on.... CRAZY!!!  Also yesterday with the help of a new friend we finished the drywall.  We also had help from my girlfriend Teresa and her son over the weekend and also a couple we have friended here.  We are very blessed with all the help we have received.  Tommorrow or thursday I will run by and take some photos.  I need to finish screwing in all the drywall, start mudding and finish laying the floor in the temporary kitchen.  YAH!!! Getting closer.  We have also lengthened our lease by 2 weeks so we can get in with out stressing out.  So, whats left to do:

Kitchen:
*Install cabinets, sink, remainder of floor and applainces (including bleaching my very nasty fridge)
Bathroom:
*Install enclosure around tub and finish plumbing
Master Bedroom:
* Patch Ceiling
** Finishing Screwing in Drywall, then mud and paint.
Outside:
* Install skirting, finish grading, add small deck w/ steps at each door
A/C
* Clean Ducts, Install Filter Ducts, Install the heater strips, hook up the power and run them
* Cover Ducting on side of the house.
Water:
** Flush Water System, Cap and test for leaks.

And then we are done......

Over the weekend we have taped and mudded a TON... Instead of taping and mudding originally they put strips of wood between the drywall, so we have been pulling those off the walls and mudding them. I think it will look a ton better with that.  Also a bunch more clean up around the property happened to so that we can finish grading for the final inspection.  And today and tomorrow more drywall will be put up and LOTS more mudding... HA... Seems to be a theme these days.  Hoping to have all the electrical done before the temporary power inspection today.  Here are a few pictures of modular getting cleaned up.  Will take another photo after the drywall goes up today.... Off to do more Mudding...

Well we passed the rough in inspection, but found out....

A corner of Megan's room, taking a photo didn't work out well... LOL

This is a photo looking from the kids rooms towards what will eventually be the playroom then the kitchen and then the living room.

The doors you see is to our temporary room and bathroom.
about another inspection required to get the temporary power on.  So that will set us back another week.  We also found out that what we were quoted for impact fees was about $900 less than what we ended up paying.... sigh.... I had to go pay that in order to schedule the inspection for the temporary power.  Quite frustrating that they aren't a little more accurate with their fees and the schedule of inspections.  In finding this out as well as the punch list for the final inspection we figured out that getting in to the house by the 17th would be nearly impossible.  So yesterday I approached the landlord about extending our lease for 2 weeks and today he came back and told me they would.  I could also let them know as late as the 17th if we would need that extra time.  YAH!!!

Its been a while since I have been on. Rob and many friends and family have been helping us as our deadline is looming and you wouldn't have been able to see much in photos.  We are calling for the electrical inspection tomorrow and crossing our fingers for the best.  Last monday was our septic/plumbing rough in inspection and we passed with flying colors.  Our rental contract is up on 1/17, so we are down to the wire now and praying we can get it all done.  We should have a better idea after we talk with the inspector tomorrow.  Hoping that 2011 is prosperous and filled with much love and happiness.
