Walls n Doors....

Went to get 2 windows today, one will replace Megans.  Megan's old one will go temporarily where the cracked one is.  The other window will be new in Ryan's room.
This is a view of the kids rooms and a small area for a tv for them.

Another photo... Excuse all the appliances and debris...

A view from the laundry room to the mudroom and out the back/side door.

More Moving pictures...

Here is the front building coming together with the back 2 buildings
Those are the piers they will set on.

This is the system they used to move the buildings.  Pretty cool, huh?

Almost there...

Getting there..

My poor hubby has worked his rear off on making this a home for us.

A view from the house up the driveway.

Fearless Zach our Guard Dog... lol

Modular gets moved back on the foundation

This is the begining, the back building has been moved back.
They are getting ready to move the middle building back now, kinda crazy to see it seperated like that.

Another view of the buildings apart.

One of the many piers that the building will sit on.

That is the backside of the laundry room/mudroom

Our poor dusty sofa that wouldn't fit into this rental, as well as some misc furniture

This is the flooring we picked out.  We bought 4 boxes to start, long way to go... but its a start.

Some more interior photos.... Very hard to photograph

Here is a view of the 3 buildings put together.
Here is a front view of the house

Now here is the other side view.  This glass door will be the enterance
with the mudroom and laundry room and also the side of the house where
the kids rooms will be

This is looking from the side of the house with the glass door enterance
towards where the master bedroom/bath will eventually be, but for now will
contain our room, THE bathroom and the kitchenette.

This is looking from the other side at where the kids rooms will
be as well as a playroom and bathroom eventually

Another look towards the front door.

Our Septic is in and The Well is Going in.....

There ON the property....

Here comes the first building down the driveway
And the second one right behind it.
The third one is coming up seperately from
Wildwood since they only had two transporter trucks.

They leveled out the dirt and are getting the first building into position

And now the middle building

And here was the last view of them.  We had to leave to get back home so Rob could work.

The modular's journey down the dirt road....

Rob went up to guide them in and over an hour later wasn't back so we walked about 3/4 mile down the road to find 1 of the 3 buildings stuck coming.  Also apparently the guy moving it also upset one of the neighbors by cutting her limbs of her tree that were hanging over the road.  So off the left is Rob soothing our first encounter with the neighbors.

Made it past getting stuck, onward...
Our first encounter with the police notice the car to the left of Rob's truck...
This is a result of the upset neighbor, everything ended well though. Phew!
2 of the buildings at the top going around a very sharp corner thanks to the guy on the corner extending his fence 5 foot out each way.
Notice how tight it is and they had to do this 3 times...

Made it past the corner and coming down the road.

This is why we decided to go with the Modular House Option

So after looking at several places within our price range we decided while untraditional this would actually be a less expensive way to go with more freedom to make a floorplan that we liked.  And like I said in the above post we could also do upgrades as we go and pay cash for them.  The first two photos the owner didn't realize the tarp had blown off and it was pretty much a total loss inside, sad.

This one was nice except there were many soft floors and it was on the smaller side

This one I imagine they were evicted from because EVERY room looked like someone had used for knife throwing practice.  It was huge though and the floor plan was ideal. Just would have been a complete gut.
